Hello!
I’m Louise, founder of Slieve Studio - a vibrant, modern stationery brand. I design and illustrate cards, prints, stickers and gifts in Irish and English. Slieve Studio celebrates our super fun Irish culture whilst making the Irish language accessible, inclusive, and fun.
Each design is carefully developed with a strong focus on sustainable materials, luxury finish, and storytelling resulting in stationery that is joyful, colourful and will hopefully bring a smile!
Sustainability
Our cards are printed locally on FSC certified papers and our foils are applied by hand using a hot stamping process. Once the foil is applied our cards are still fully recyclable, repulpable and compostable. Our foils, materials and processes contain no solvents or plastics.
We reuse plastic-free packaging where possible and we offer biodegradable cello sleeves or card-catches as an optional extra.
Why Irish?
Just before Covid I made the decision to educate my children through Irish medium education, it wasn't something that had been available to me growing up and we were all keen to learn as a family. However, I soon found myself homeschooling through Irish, reading books, learning spellings, singing songs and I loved it!
I started making stationery as a side-hustle to my freelance work as a graphic designer and I thought it would be lovely to bring some Irish into it - and Slieve Studio was born!

My cards are stocked in lots of gorgeous stockists across Ireland and I regularly take part in markets.
I’m a mum to two small humans, if I’m not designing or running around after them you can usually find me literally running around the rainy forests of County Down, drinking coffee, climbing mountains or looking for beach treasure.
